Recruit Training Course
Description
Constables, including Driver Constables, but excluding those from technical cadres, are required to complete a comprehensive training program. This program begins with a 6-month basic course that covers fundamental police training, ensuring that all officers meet the necessary standards of law enforcement. After completing the basic course, male Police officers then undergo an additional 3 months of advanced training, provided by the Army. This advanced training focuses on enhancing tactical skills, discipline, and operational effectiveness, preparing the officers for more demanding roles and situations they may encounter in their duties.
